He has held several management positions in the past and at present contributing to the technology agenda of the company. Thereby assisting in accelerating innovation efforts at Aker BP.

Nina Brattetaule is the Director of Digitalization and IT in Archer, a global oil services company with a heritage that stretches back over 40 years. With her 20 years of experience managing and guiding businesses through digital transformation journeys, she is now dedicated to help drive the required changes within the O&G industry enabled by the availability and quality of data.
Originally a developer she soon found her true calling when her manager was curious enough to ask if she didn’t see herself better suited as a project manager. Taking a leap of faith and changing the direction early on she has had the opportunity to work with a broad specter of clients across the O&G value chain, from Operators to vendors, and industry organizations.
The secret to succeed with business transformation through digitalization enabling efficiency and quality through the availability of data where you are, when you need it (yes it`s Archer`s digital vision) – is People, Processes and Technology. Enabling a cross-functional collaborating environment across 40 locations globally and several different business domains in Archer is now her mission.

Luiz Eduardo
Upstream Technical Support Manager
Luiz Eduardo has over 20 years of experience working in the shipbuilding and oil and gas industries. He has held positions such as Coatings Technical Manager, Commissioning Engineer, Process Engineer, Operations Manager, Head of Fluid Laboratory Services, and Upstream Efficiency and Reliability Coordinator. His primary areas of expertise are O&G processing, water treatment, environmental control, metrology, and digitization in the O&G business.
He is graduated in chemical engineering and business administration, with a certificate in O&G process engineering and an MBA in Business Analytics and Big Data.
Luiz Eduardo currently works for PETROBRAS as the Upstream Technical Support Manager, where he is in charge of the digitization and optimization of O&G production operations, analysis and forecasting of operational risks and efficiencies, operational excellence, technical support for process engineering and fluid metering for O&G.
Luiz Eduardo is enthusiastic about disruptive technology as a means for promoting true organizational cultural changes. As a leader, he believes in an integrated and holistic approach including people, process and technology to achieve and sustain outstanding outcomes in the digital transformation journey.”

He is Product Owner of the Data Democratization Project in which we make data available to all employees so that they can extract value from it.

Merijn Backx has 26+ years of Shell experience delivering business outcomes that include engineering document management, finance analytics, sales and marketing insights, accounting efficiencies, procurement optimization, maintenance reliability, transforming & automating business processes and industry collaboration and ecosystems.
This track record has been established through a wide variety of IT application development, architecture, project management, operations and business interface assignments in Rotterdam, London, Kuala Lumpur, Houston and The Hague.
In his last role as VP of Enterprise IDT Strategy and Planning, he was accountable for developing Shell’s Enterprise IT Strategy, Planning, Competencies and Operating Model. He worked on Shell’s digitalisation strategy to help enable the net zero energy systems of the future.
Merijn is now IDT General Manager for Safety & Environment, Asset and Technology. He leads the digital transformation required to enable the asset of the future using technologies like digital twin, predictive maintenance and citizen development.

Ionut Enescu

An engineer by profession, Ionut graduated as valedictorian from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the “Politehnica” University Bucharest in 2011. Since then, Ionut has worked in the oil & gas industry under various operational and management positions focusing on surface equipment maintenance. Currently, Ionut leads the 4.0 integration department within Dietsmann, one of the leading contractors for Operations & Maintenance in the energy industry. His work focuses on leveraging the operational experience accumulated over the years into developing digital solutions aimed at maximizing the effectiveness of O&M services.
Zain Isma Mohamed Lazim
Head (Data Architects), Enterprise Data, Group Digital
Zain is a graduate of La Trobe University (Melbourne, Australia) in 1998 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics) with Honors (Majoring in Communication Engineering). He began an internship and subsequently rose to the role of Sr. Design Engineer for Video products (VHS, DVD, BluRay) within ten years of service at Sony EMCS Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. He had a short one-year stint as a call center technical support agent at DirecTV before pursuing a Master of Applied Science (ICT: Telecommunications Technology) at the University of Denver, Colorado, USA, where he graduated in 2013. Shortly after, he joined MIMOS Berhad, Malaysia’s national applied research and development center under the Ministry of Science, Technology And Innovation, from 2013 to 2015, developing wireless sensor networks and IoT products. After completing the contracted duration at MIMOS, he had the opportunity to enhance further and build his knowledge of IoT while working at SHRDC, a human resource development training center focusing on practical hands-on training programs. He was entrusted to spearhead the development of IoT training program content at SHRDC in 2017 in collaboration with the Swiss Smart Factory research institute in Biel, Switzerland. By the time he joined Petronas in 2020, He had successfully contributed to and developed the setting up of the IoT lab (with industrial partners OMRON, Siemens, Balluff, and Hilscher), implementing Node-Red and protocols like MQTT, OPC-UA, and IO-Link, at SHRDC. He has also had the opportunity to complete multiple cohorts of hands-on IoT program trainees by 2020 at SHRDC.
His time since joining Petronas in 2020 has been focused on developing the IoT Reference Architecture while also developing and operationalizing a centralized IoT data platform for the Oil & Gas business use case. In 2022, a centralized real-time IoT data platform, which is also known as the Enterprise IoT Hub (EIH), first iteration was piloted and tested to enable secure access to real-time/near real-time IoT data between any location that has internet accessibility.
